What we do

We are a small team of experienced movers to assist with any moving or labor work from Darby to Missoula. We do not own or bring any trucks for moving, we simply show up with the right equiptment and provide the labor. We mainly help with loading and unloading rental trucks and uhauls, packing tight and efficiently to maximize space for a truck or storage unit, as well as specialty services such as gun safe moving, pianos (not grands), and hoisting services for items up to 500lbs to the 3rd story.

What types of moving services do Bitterroot Movers offer?

We offer local labor for your moving needs, from simple manpower to move a bunch of boxes, to specialty dollies for very heavy crates and gunsafes, and hoisting using a 24 ft material lift with straps for heavy furniture to avoid awkward stairs. We have good equipment to move just about anything

How much does Bitterroot Movers's moving services cost?

Our prices are pretty straightforward by the hour (not including gun safe and piano moves). A typical truck load time can vary based on distance to walk to the truck, stairs, and tight turns. If everything is ready and boxed in a garage for instance, it may take just 2 hours to load a 15-26 foot truck, but if the same stuff is spread around the house it will take significantly longer.

What are the heaviest things you can move?

We can move up to a 600 pound safe up or down stairs using our Powermate Le-1 stairclimbing handtruck. We can also move gun safes up to 2000 pounds as long as there are no stairs with our hydraulic dollies. To load any safe over 900 pounds onto a truck does require a lift gate though! Too heavy for a normal ramp
